We are Luca, Justin and Damian and our subject is mass media.
Luca: Hi I am Luca and I am 14 years old. My hobbies are gaming and acting. I live with my parents. I have 2 dogs, Balou and Sumo. When I finish school, I want to work in ICT. My favourite food is pizza. At school, my favourite subject are the multi media lessons.
Damian: I am 14 years old and my hobbies are gaming and sport. I like to watch soccer on tv. I am a Feyenoord fan. I live with my parents and my older sister. In the future I want to work in ICT. My favourite food is pizza.

The interviews were not videotaped and no pictures were taken, because of the privacy of the interviewed persons. We descided to type along instead of filming, so we could write down all the answers. Later on, we made a summary about the interviews. (This is a school regulation)

2.3 Conclusion They all had different newspapers and there was no computer, because the computer wasn’t invented yet. There was a newspaper and radio and there was more room for children. They all had different family size. Report of our outcome Actually it is the same as the comparison of the parents and grandparents because we found out that the parents had more accessibility then the grandparents and the parents had more money at the time then the grandparents.
Nowadays, we all have internet acces.
Part 3: Conclusion: comparison and reflection
3.1 Comparison parents and grandparents In our comparison between the parents and grandparents, we found that the parents have more accessibility to the media then the grandparents and that the parents had more money at the time then the grandparents.
3.2 Answering the main question Answer to main question: To what extent has the role of mass media and books changed ?
The roles of the media has changed a lot in those past years because, in the grandparents youth there was no tv, no computer, no internet and weaker phones the books were a lot weaker. and in the parents youth we found out that hey have a slightly better tv, stronger phones and stronger books. Nowadays we all have access to internet. In Holland we have WiFi connection almost everywhere, so we are more connected to the world and we cannot imagine a world without a cellphone. We read less than our parents and grandparents did and we watch more tv. India: The outcomes of the interviews in India are that the grandparents communicated trough letters and telegraphs. The parents communicated using phones and fax. Nowadays, we communicate by cellphone, social media and text messages. The grandparents got the news from newspapers and newsletter, while the parents got the news from tv and radio. Today, the youth in India come to know the latest news through twitter, facebook and other social media.
If you compare the outcomes of the two countries, they are similar. In both countries, the development from newspaper, to tv and radio and social media and phones is visible.
3.3 Reflection
At First Damian and Luca were a group but later Justin came in the class. Luca already knew Justin from is previous elementary school. So that made the teamwork a lot easier. But in the end only Justin did the assignment correctly. Damian didn’t understand the project at first and finally added his interviews and Luca couldn’t do the interviews because the person he wanted to interview didn’t react to his messages. Luca had to correct the grammar mistakes.
